BOPP Primerless Base Film High Heat Dimensional Stability Flat During Pre Coating Process

Pre coating is a hot process. The web passes close to an extruded EVA melt and then over cooling rollers, and any tendency to shrink or relax under that heat shows up immediately: the sheet cups, the edges wave, tension drifts and the coating thickness varies across the width. This primerless BOPP base film is oriented and heat set for low shrinkage, so the web stays flat and square through the coating nip and comes off the line with an even surface.

Stability matters even more at the thin end of the range, where there is less material to resist distortion, and on wide webs, where a small percentage of shrinkage turns into a visible edge wave. The grade is supplied with shrinkage behaviour matched to pre coating temperatures rather than to general packaging use, so converters do not have to slow the line or run extra tension to compensate for a film that wants to move.

• Book Cover And Packaging Lamination Stock — Pre coated film destined for flat sheet lamination, where any curl in the base becomes a feeding problem for the customer.
• Secondary Coating And Lacquering — Processes that apply additional coatings after pre coating and need a dimensionally stable substrate.

Q: What is your lead time?

Sample making takes around 3-7 working days. Mass production takes around 10-25 working days after order confirmation.

Q: Do you provide samples? Is there a sample fee?

Yes, we can provide A4 sample sheets for free. For custom samples, a sampling fee may differ based on different specifications.

Q: What shipping terms can you offer?

EXW, FOB, CIF and DDU are available. We also have a dedicated shipping agent to arrange sea, air and express delivery.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?

We usually accept T/T bank transfer with 30% deposit and the balance before shipment. Other payment methods are negotiable.

Q: Why is shrinkage measured under pre coating conditions?

Because pre coating is where the film sees heat. We control shrinkage around the temperature window the web actually experiences on an EVA extrusion line, so behaviour in the coating nip is predictable rather than assumed from general packaging data.
