VMBOPET Film High Tensile Low Shrink Metallized Polyester High Speed Printing Lamination Grade
Metallized film that stretches or shrinks during drying pulls print out of register and dulls the coating. On a multi station press the web passes through dryer after dryer, and a film that relaxes under heat will drift a fraction of a millimetre at each station until the fourth or fifth colour no longer sits where the first one did. This grade is oriented for high tensile strength with very low heat shrinkage, so the web stays flat and dimensionally stable from unwind to rewind even at production speed.
Surface energy matters just as much on a metallized film, because inks and adhesives that do not anchor properly will rub off in the bag maker or lift during lamination. The treated surface holds a high wetting tension so inks, primers and adhesives wet out evenly, and the strength of the base film keeps tension stable across wide webs and long runs where a single stop costs a full shift of output.

High Tensile Strength
Strong orientation in both directions resists stretching at unwind, print and lamination tension, so tension settings hold and the web does not neck down or break at speed.
Very Low Heat Shrinkage
The film barely moves under dryer and lamination temperatures, so print register holds across multi station runs and the coating stays optically even.
Flat At Width
Wide webs stay flat without edge curl or centre bagging, which keeps registration and coating uniformity intact across the full width.
High Wetting Tension Surface
Inks, primers and laminating adhesives wet out evenly and anchor firmly, reducing rub off, pinholing and adhesion failures.
Rub Resistant Print
Printed metallized surfaces resist scuffing in the bag maker, in the slitter and during packing, which protects the appearance of the finished pack.
Stable Through Multi Station Runs
Consistent behaviour roll after roll means the settings that worked yesterday still work today, cutting make ready time.
Low Curl After Lamination
Laminated sheets and pouches stay flat, which reduces feeding problems on downstream packing and labeling equipment.
Even Coating Through The Run
Metallization is controlled so the appearance at the core of the roll matches the outer wrap, avoiding a visible change partway through a job.
- Multi Station Gravure Printing — Metallized work that passes through several print units and dryers, where registration has to hold from the first colour to the last.
- High Speed Lamination — Barrier core layers in solvent based and solvent free lamination lines running at production speed.
- Wide Web Converting — Broad webs where edge curl and centre bagging cause tracking and tension problems on the machine.
- Long Production Runs — Continuous jobs where consistent web behaviour from core to surface keeps output stable and waste low.
- Printed Metallized Pouches — Coffee, snack and household product pouches where the printed metallized layer is the visible face of the pack.
- Label Printing Lines — Metallized label stock printed and die cut at speed, where rub resistance and register stability both matter.
- Coating And Secondary Processing — Base film for further online coating, lacquering or metallizing steps that require a dimensionally stable web.
Q: Are you a manufacturer or trading company?
We are a manufacturer located in Hefei city, Anhui province, China, with our own BOPP and BOPET production lines and an annual capacity of 180,000 tons.
Q: What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
Our typical MOQ is usually 500kg, depending on the exact grade and specification you need.
Q: What is your lead time?
Sample making takes around 3-7 working days. Mass production takes around 10-25 working days after order confirmation.
Q: Do you provide samples? Is there a sample fee?
Yes, we can provide A4 sample sheets for free. For custom samples, a sampling fee may differ based on different specifications.
Q: What shipping terms can you offer?
EXW, FOB, CIF and DDU are available. We also have a dedicated shipping agent to arrange sea, air and express delivery.
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
We usually accept T/T bank transfer with 30% deposit and the balance before shipment. Other payment methods are negotiable.
Q: Why does heat shrinkage matter for a metallized film?
Heat in dryers and lamination nips can stretch or shrink the web and pull print out of register, and it can also distort the coating. Low shrinkage keeps both the image and the metallic appearance where they should be.
