Low Temperature Low Shrinkage BOPET Base Film Heat Stabilized for Hot Stamping Transfer
Product Description / Production Introduction
This low temperature low shrinkage BOPET base film is a heat stabilized biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate film developed as a carrier base for hot stamping and transfer metallization. Its heat stabilization gives low thermal shrinkage of no more than 1.0 percent at 150 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes, so the film stays flat and dimensionally stable through the heat and low temperature steps of hot stamping, coating and transfer, without curling or wrinkling. High tensile strength of at least 200 MPa supports stable, break free running on high speed coating and hot stamping lines, and uniform thickness keeps release layers and transferred graphics consistent. Continuous heat resistance up to 180 degrees Celsius makes the film suitable for hot stamping and metallization processes, while high transparency and low haze support accurate inspection and clean release. Available in 12, 19, 25 and 36 micron grades with customized widths and roll lengths, this shrink resistant base film is ideal for hot stamping carrier, transfer film and decorative metallization applications.

Key Features
Low Thermal Shrinkage
A dedicated heat stabilization process gives the film very low thermal shrinkage, so it keeps its dimensions and flatness through heat and low temperature processing without deforming, curling or distorting.
High Dimensional Stability
Excellent dimensional stability keeps the web flat and registration accurate, so printing, coating, laminating and converting stay precise from the first metre to the last and from roll to roll.
Low Temperature Processing Compatible
The film performs reliably in low temperature processing, helping converters reduce energy use and protect heat sensitive layers while still holding tight dimensional tolerance.
Heat Stabilized, Heat Resistant
Heat stabilized construction allows continuous use up to 180 degrees Celsius, making the base film stable through hot stamping, metallization, coating and other thermal processes.
High Tensile Strength
Tensile strength of at least 200 MPa in both machine and transverse directions supports stable, break free running on high speed coating, slitting and converting lines.
Uniform Thickness and Gauge Control
Thickness is tightly controlled across the web, so coating weight, optical performance and converting behaviour stay consistent and predictable roll after roll.
High Transparency and Low Haze
High clarity with low haze keeps the film bright and clean, supporting accurate inspection and sharp downstream printing or coating.
Solvent and Chemical Resistance
Good resistance to common solvents and chemicals protects the film during printing, coating and lamination, helping maintain surface quality and performance.
Ideal Carrier for Hot Stamping Transfer
The heat stabilized, low shrinkage base keeps registration and release consistent during hot stamping and transfer, delivering sharp, uniform transferred graphics and decoration.
Uniform Thickness for Even Release
Tight gauge control keeps release layers and coatings even, so transfer quality stays consistent across the whole web and roll to roll.
Application Scenarios
Hot Stamping Carrier Film - Carrier base for hot stamping foils and transfer films, where low shrinkage and heat resistance keep transferred graphics sharp and uniform.
Transfer Metallization - Base film for transfer metallization and decoration, where dimensional stability ensures clean, defect free transfer.
Decorative Foil and Packaging - Used for decorative foils and premium packaging that require stable, high quality transfer performance.
Release Film Base - Reliable base for release and transfer coatings, where flatness and uniform gauge are essential to smooth release.
High Temperature Processing - Suitable for coating and transfer processes that run at elevated temperature, thanks to heat resistance up to 180 degrees Celsius.
Precision Converting - Flat, dimensionally stable film for precision slitting, coating and converting with minimal waste.
